It was about time to post a new make-up product review, since I have been using a lot of new stuff in the last month. The lucky winner today is the Sleek Face Contour Kit, my go-to choice whenever I need to contour and highlight.
I don’t use it on a daily basis (just a dab of highlight during the day at work), but I always include it in my full-face make-up looks (in weekends, for shootings, going out, events, etc.)
I must say it’s my favorite product right now, and it made me want to buy more Sleek make-up. Also, I know Christmas is long gone, but I’ve been wanting to post this review ever since, so I hope you don’t mind the festive little red bows from the pictures 🙂
So this Sleek contour kit contains two products: a matte contour powder and an illuminating highlighter.
ABOUT THEÂ KIT
- has a smooth and silky texture
- works best with angled brushes
- very easy to use and apply, so it’s a perfect choice for any beginner in contouring/ strobing
- the two colors are very pigmented
- this kit sculpts your face, makes it look slimmer and a lot more defined
- you get a very natural and beautiful look
ABOUT THE PACKAGE, PRICE AND ORDER:
- has a lovely package, that looks very high-quality
- comes with a mirror incorporated
- it’s super light and travel friendly
- although it’s small and compact, it holds a lot of product (14g)
- it’s available in 3 colors: Light, Medium and Dark (and I own the Light one)
- has a great price (I got it for 41 RON, so for 9 euros)
I ordered it from www.makeup-shop.ro, but you can also find it on Sleek’s official website.
DOWNSIDES/ THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
- It normally has a great resistance, so you don’t need to worry, but keep in mind that it’s not water resistant. Any rain, sweat or tears will definitely melt it off very easy
- As with any other pigmented product, you must apply only the necessary amount of powder, and slowly add more until you’re happy with the results, because otherwise you could get a muddy look
- The kit doesn’t come with an included brush, so you must use your own
CONTOURING AND HIGHLIGHTING TIPS:
- apply it on a perfect base (moisturizer, primer, foundation, concealer, powder) for the best results
- contour tracing the letter E (on the hollows of your cheeks, forehead and jawline); also, contour the edges of your nose for a slimmer appearance
- highlight tracing the letter C (on top of the cheekbones and right above the eyebrows); then highlight on the bridge of the nose, eyebrow bone, inner corner of the eye, cupid’s bow and center of the chin
- apply blush right between the contour and highlight
- use a medium sized fluffy angled brush for the contour powder, and a smaller one for highlight
And below you can see a small preview of how the highlighter looks like on my face. I couldn’t find a decent photo to show you the contour part, but I’ll work on that 🙂
What do you think about this Sleek contour kit? And what are your favorite products and techniques for contouring/ highlighting?Â

Hello Jess, thanks for stopping by 🙂 It’s great to hear you also had a great experience with this product, I honestly can’t recommend it enough. I’m so happy I bought it, and I know I’ll get to use it for a long time, since I don’t contour my face every single day, ha ha 🙂
